Warehouse Management System

A chemical manufacturer tracked warehouse stock on paper and in spreadsheets, and the numbers often did not match the ERP. I built a custom warehouse management system to replace that, and I run it end to end: requirements, build, deployment, infrastructure and security.

Every pallet or bag gets a QR label at goods receipt. Operators scan the pallet and then the bin on put-away, so the system always knows where each lot is. On picking, a FIFO check blocks a newer lot while an older one is still in stock and sends the operator to the right bin. Issues post back to the ERP, and a scheduled sync keeps orders and stock in step in both directions.

Real warehouses break rules, so the system has an exceptions desk. Quantity mismatches, damaged stock, short picks and FIFO overrides are held for a supervisor, and nothing changes stock until someone approves it. Office users get a live bin map, stock views and reports.

Built with Laravel, React and PostgreSQL. I gathered requirements with warehouse, production and finance teams and coordinated the rollout. The client and its data are private, so the screens here are redrawn with fake data.
