Campus Access Control

When the campus reopened during COVID-19, only people who met that day's health rules could enter, and every building had a limit on how many people could be inside. I built the campus-wide access control application that enforced this.

Students and staff complete a short daily health declaration on their phone. A rules engine checks it against their status, schedule and the building quotas, and issues a personal QR day pass. Security scans the pass at the gate, and the scanner shows clearly whether the person is allowed, and why not if they are denied.

Every check-in is logged, so campus operations see live occupancy per building, get daily check-in reports, and can pull contact lists quickly when a case is reported.

The institution and its systems are private, so the screens here are redrawn with fake data.
