NEXUS Warehouse Sim

NEXUS is a proof of concept that combines a logistics SaaS dashboard with an interactive miniature 3D warehouse. It grew out of my work building a warehouse management system, and asks what operations software could feel like if the floor itself were the interface.

The scene is a cutaway distribution hub: four loading bays with roll-up doors and traffic signals, six high-bay pallet racks, staging zones, a yard with a security gate, floodlights and parked trailers. Three autonomous forklifts pick pallets from the docks, carry them through the aisles and store them on rack tiers, while semi-trucks enter through the gate, back into their bays, open their doors, unload and leave.

On top of the 3D world sits a dashboard: KPIs for active shipments, dock utilization, fleet status, pallets moved and on-time SLA, a live activity feed generated from the simulation state, a shipments panel, and an inspector for any vehicle, dock or rack. Clicking an event or a vehicle tracks it with the camera. The simulation can be paused or run at 1×, 2× and 4×, and the view switches between an isometric 3D camera and a top-down plan.

Built with React 19, TypeScript, Vite, React Three Fiber, drei, Zustand and Tailwind CSS. It is an AI-assisted proof of concept.
